What is CNC Machining?

What is CNC machining technology? CNC machining technology, the abbreviation of Computer Numerical Control machining technology, is a method of using digital information to control the movement and processing of machine tools. A machine tool that uses numerical control technology to implement processing control, or a machine tool equipped with a numerical control system is called a numerical control (NC) machine tool. The numerical control system includes: numerical control device, programmable controller, spindle drive and feed device. The numerical control machine tool is a highly integrated product of machine, electricity, liquid, gas and light. To realize the control of the machine tool, it is necessary to use geometric information to describe the relative movement between the tool and the workpiece, and to use process information to describe some process parameters that the machine tool must have. For example: feed rate, spindle speed, spindle forward and reverse rotation parameter, tool change, coolant switch etc.

The development trend of modern CNC machine tool processing technology is high-speed, high-precision, high-reliability, multi-function, composite, intelligent and open structure. The main development trend is to research and develop an intelligent full-function general-purpose numerical control device with an open structure for both software and hardware. Numerical control technology is the foundation of mechanical processing automation and the core technology of CNC machine tool processing. It develops with the development of information technology, microelectronics technology, automation technology and detection technology.

what is CNC machining center? A CNC machining center is a CNC machine tool with a tool library and automatic tool change, which can perform multiple machining operations on the workpiece within a certain range. The characteristics of the parts processed on the machining center are: after the processed parts are clamped once, the CNC system can control the machine tool to automatically select and replace the tools according to different procedures; automatically change the spindle speed, feed rate and the motion path of the tool relative to the workpiece and other auxiliary functions, continuously and automatically perform multi-process processing such as drilling, countersinking, reaming, boring, tapping, and milling on each processing surface of the workpiece.

CNC machining technology and equipment is the enabling technology and the most basic equipment for the development of emerging high-tech industries and cutting-edge industries. Therefore, the vigorous development of advanced manufacturing technology with CNC machining technology as the core has become the world's developed countries to accelerate economic development and improve overall national strength and national status.
